Information used by PokerBook
PokerBook stores information needed to operate a private game ledger, including your display name, chosen username, game role, buy-ins and cash-outs, pot and expense lines, running balance, long-term player statistics, audit entries associated with changes, an optional push-notification token, and a host-private nickname when a host needs to distinguish players with the same or similar names.
Account authentication
Account sign-in is provided through Sign in with Apple or Google. PokerBook does not create or store passwords. Authentication information, including an email address when provided by the sign-in provider, may be handled by Apple, Google and Firebase Authentication. PokerBook's own player records are not designed to store your email address.
Information PokerBook does not collect
PokerBook is not designed to collect phone numbers, street addresses, contacts, precise location, photos or advertising identifiers. PokerBook does not include third-party advertising, attribution or behavioral analytics SDKs.
Payment information
PokerBook does not process payments between players and does not collect player payment credentials. Figures such as buy-ins, cash-outs and balances are bookkeeping entries entered by users. Any settlement between players occurs outside PokerBook. Purchases of a PokerBook subscription, when available, are processed through the applicable app store and are subject to that store's payment and privacy practices.
Walk-in player records
A host may create a player record by display name without that player creating an account. A walk-in record can later be claimed into an authenticated account, carrying its existing history and balance into that account.
Audit history
PokerBook records who made a ledger entry or correction and when it happened. Corrections preserve the original figure alongside the corrected figure during the period that detailed night records are retained.
Retention
Running balances and long-term player statistics are retained across nights so that a player's continuing record and unsettled balance can persist. Detailed night information, including entries, itemised pot lines and the night audit trail, is designed to be removed after seven days.
Push notifications
If you enable push notifications, PokerBook may store a device push token for the purpose of delivering app notifications. You can control notification permissions through your device settings.
How information is used
Information is used to provide the PokerBook service: run private game ledgers, synchronize a live night between authorized members, calculate reconciliation and settlement, preserve balances and statistics, maintain an audit trail, administer club roles and deliver requested notifications.
